According to video poker rules, the following are the winning hands in online video poker.
- A pair of Jacks or better cards.
- For some of the games, you are required to have a pair of King or better cards.
- Two Pairs, i.e., two cards of the same rank. For example, two threes or two Kings.
- If you have three cards of the same rank, you get a winning hand.
- If you have four cards of the same rank, you win too.
- To win a game, you can also build a hand called Straight that contains five sequenced cards, not necessarily of the same suit, e.g. Ace, Two, Three, Four, and Five.
- A Flush consists of five cards that belong to the same suit e.g. Ace, 2, 3, 4, and 6 of spades or 3, 6, 9, King, Ace of clubs.
- Straight Flush is a hand that contains five cards of the same suit in a sequence. For example, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of spades.
- A Royal Flush is the highest paying hand and it consists of Ten, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of the same suit.
- Wild Royal Flush hand is the one that has Royal Flush in which one of the cards is substituted by a wild card,such as, joker, etc.
